When the River meets the Ocean
From the Bodies of Water Collection.
These were inspired by the Tidal Barrier between the Fraser River and the Strait of Georgia. The first time I flew to Vancouver Island on a June day, I felt fortunate to see the Fraser River Plume - where the freshwater hits the salt water.
Sliced and Polished Muskox Horn Surrounds Glass beads stitched down one at a time on home tanned Caribou Hide. The Stylized Plume is represented by Faceted Blue Sapphire Beads.
Backed with Caribou Hide, edged with 2-Cut Glass beads.
Finished with Hammered Vermeil (Sterling Silver Plated with Gold) Findings.
Measure 3.75" in Length,
**These weigh 11 grams a piece - Which is about the same weight as two quarters and a dime.
