Hard Headed Woman
From the ‘Music to live by’ body of work.
'Hard Headed Woman' by Cat Stevens
Cat Stevens is definitely part of the soundtrack to my childhood. My mom would play his tape while she worked downstairs in her Fur Studio.
At times I would help her dampen, stretch, and staple beaver pelts to fibre boards to prep for her works. Wild World Indeed.
“I know a lot of fancy dancers
People who can glide you on the floor
They move so smooth but have no answers
When you ask them, "What you come here for? (I don't know)
I know many fine feathered friends
But their friendliness depends on how you do
Many sure fired ways
To find out the one who pays
And how you do.”
These ‘Fancy Dancers’ include Moose Antler ‘Feather’ Inlaid with Turquoise.
